I had such a fun day yesterday! I packed up the three kiddos, drove 3 hours, and spent the day with my sister! I love to see her house ~ we are both thrift store/junk store lovers, but our styles are different and unique. She has the ‘Southern Shabby & Chic’ look that is so pretty! It was a perfect spring day, wonderfully warm for a pool day. And a pool day is great entertainment for the kiddos while sisters… Read more »

I know, I am on a break-neck speed with blogging recently, what can I say? But it’s still January February, so we can still talk about last year and things like that, right? :) Each beginning of the new year I like to spend some time in reflection, in thinking back over the past year, the sweet things, the hard things, the things I learned, the ways God proved He was faithful, the things that surprised me. It’s almost humorous how… Read more »

In November, one of my sisters came to spend a week with me. Her husband was gone for the week, and he so kindly said she can go somewhere too. I was so honored when Ervina picked me to spend her time with! We had the most wonderful days together, and got to spend time with our sister Jana too. Sisters are the best thing that ever happened. :) And not only did she come, but she brought along a… Read more »

This blogging break was really not even intentional, but with traveling out-of-state over the holidays, and exhaustion catching up with us from the busyness it all, and a tree falling on our internet line, and the cold days of January… well, it all turned into a little break that was actually very needed…. It’s the second of the Sister Christmas Tours today, and I’m enjoying this so much! After these two, there really is no reason in the world for me to do one ~ these two have done it so perfectly! One thing that has been so fun as sisters is our similarities as well as our differences in décor. We all enjoy creativity and beauty, and yet we vary in style from minimalistic to shabby chic to industrial to some other… Read more »

Yes, I DO realize that I’m about exactly two months behind the rest of the world in the festivities of painting autumnal pumpkins. BUT, there is a reason for it! A very good reason. You see, my sister Ervina was coming to visit and we wanted to wait until she was here with us. [It’s been a childhood dream of hers, never before accomplished, and we wanted to be there for the Big Day]. So, she arrived, we were having heaps of… Read more »
