Giveaway! {from The Chalk Shop}

When I featured my sister Jana’s beautiful home on my blog in December as part of the Christmas Home Tours, there were quite a few people interested in her lovely chalk art. At that point she was considering making it a business venture, but hadn’t gotten it off the ground yet.

Well, I am here to announce the opening of The Chalk Shop!

Jana is a superbly talented woman, with much artistic ability, and I wish her well in this business venture! Her handwriting has been much admired long before the opening of this shop, and I love to see Jana using her God-given abilities to bless other people through art.

Here is a little sampling of some of the pieces she’s done. The chalk art is available framed or unframed, on wood or canvas, and special orders and customization are available!

The giveaway piece is an 11 X 16 “You are my Sunshine” chalk art, valued at $30.

The chalk art is a sealed piece of art, meaning that although written with chalk,
it will not smear or smudge off.

  17. It’s a difficult thing to select a favorite from so many wonderful pieces of art; but I really like the message of the piece that says “My Soul finds rest in You”!

  24. Clarita, your sister has a wonderful talent! All of you have such pretty handwriting! I liked “The Chalk Shop” on FB :) I think my favorite one is the one with the elk, the family last name, and the date it was established. Lovely!!

  26. I am having a hard time deciding between “My soul finds rest in You” and the Micah 6:8 one, so I’ll just say those are both my favorite. ;) She does beautiful work!

  28. While every piece is original and creative, I actually love the piece with the sofa which appears to be velvet, and the overhead birdcages. I love watching birds and this piece would be a focal point in my home. The other favorite of mine is, “You are my Sunshine”. Brings back a host of memories from my youth. My Parents signed myself and my 5 Sisters up for Summer Girl’s Club. Every day on the bus ride to the beach, this would be the song we sang and at nite, and every nite until as far back as I can remember, nite after nite, we did an encore for our Parents.

  35. Yes, her handwriting is so lovely!! That’s why I had her title pages in my wedding album and also a piece of wall art. I think I must have underpaid her all those seven years ago, what do ya think? And my fave? Hard to say! I love the Romans 8:39 and the justice&mercy and the You are my sunshine print too! So elegant.

I think my favorite is the “You make beautiful things out of dust” because that message speaks of our Father and his power! I also love the ‘You are my sunshine’ piece… I have often thought if I ever am blessed with children, I’d love to display this in the baby room:)
